The Grief Recovery Method®
Are you experiencing feelings of grief?
Did you place a child for adoption when you experienced an unplanned pregnancy?
Have you experienced other losses in your life in addition to the loss of parenting your child?
Are these losses starting to weigh you down?
Even in the best adoption experiences the birth mom can experience grief.
I do not know exactly how you personally feel, but as a birth mother myself, I can clearly remember the pain and grief I experienced when I placed my child for adoption many years ago. This grief became a daily part of me for years to come. After years of persistent searching, I finally found the tools that walked me through the feelings of grief to a place of peace and completion.
I’ve created a safe place for other birth mothers to find peace and begin to move forward in their everyday lives and to teach them the steps for grief recovery.
Grief is an emotion many of us face at least once in our lifetime.
There are more than 43 major life events that result in grief and I know first hand that placing a child for adoption is one of them. Working with women who have also chosen to place their child for adoption, I quickly learned that grief was a natural part of every birth moms experience.
Grief is the normal and natural emotional response to loss, but most of the information we’ve learned about dealing with loss is intellectual.
Effective Grief Recovery must deal with your brokenheart, which requires emotional support instead of intellectual explanations.
The Grief Recovery Method is a proven action based program for moving beyond the pain of these losses. Grief recovery helps one to identify the problem AND offers a solution.
